"We knew that this is a big weekend for a lot of teams in the conference and especially for us," said head coach Lindsey Devine. "It was good to get the win for the team."
Freshman Desiree Dyck (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan), led the Bucs offensively as she had 28 of the Bucs 82 in the match. Freshman Laura Waddell (Lynchburg, Va.), and senior Callie Kiselich (Colorado Springs, Colo.), also had double digit kills for the Bucs. Waddell had 19 kills, while Kiselich had a double-double collecting 13 kills and 11 digs.
"Desiree had a great offensive game again as she was big in key rallies and was really explosive," Devine said. "Kristan Provchy (Norton, Ohio), really stepped up her game in games four and five and her kills helped push us to the win."
Senior Marissa Mortensen (Elk Grove, Ill.), quarterbacked the Bucs offense tallying 57 assists and had 9 digs. Kaena Apana (Waianae, Hawaii), picked up right where she left off with 30 digs defensively.
"Tonight Kaena was superb as she was really able to control balls off of service feeds and play great defense," Devine said.

With the win the Bucs are now 14-9 and are on a three game win-streak. The Bucs head to Fort Myers, Fla. Saturday at 2 p.m. to take on Florida Gulf Coast in a match between two top teams in the Atlantic Sun.
