JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 4, 2008) -The Buccaneer Athletic Scholarship Association (BASA) awarded Denise Murray $5,000 worth of Shell gasoline gift cards on February 28 as part of its annual auction event at the Millennium Center.

Due to the rise of gas prices this winter BASA decided to give the public an opportunity to win $5,000 worth of free gasoline. Raffle tickets were sold by BASA members around the region for $50 each, with ticket buyers being automatically entered into the drawing to win the $5,000 worth of Shell gasoline. Members sold 650 tickets for the drawing raising $32,500 for the general scholarship fund.
