ETSU soccer stays undefeated after round robin with Furman and Appalachian State
Freshman Eddie Yah Tuesday, September 25, 2007 JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 22, 2007) - The ETSU club soccer team tied Appalachian State in a tough defensive battle 0-0, and showed its offensive firepower defeating Furman 4-1 at the Summers-Taylor soccer complex on Saturday. The Bucs out shot the Mountaineers 20-4, but could not convert on a Romain Amrani ( In the second game freshman John Murphy ( The Bucs came out on fire in the second half, taking the a 2-1 lead when senior Benoit Berteau ( The Bucs had 29 shots easily out shooting the Paladins. The Bucs forced 10 saves, while freshman goalkeeper Tucker Chastain ( The Bucs continue play on Oct. 7 against SMSC at the Summers-Taylor Soccer Complex at 3 p.m.
