Thursday, October 04, 2007

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 4, 2007) - The East Tennessee State athletic department and American Eagle have teamed up to launch a newly redesigned athletics website (www.ETSUBucs.com), which was introduced Thursday. The redesign features a fresh new look so fans and alumni will be able to navigate through the site in much easier fashion than ever before.

The new design of ETSUBucs.com will introduce Buccaneer fans to new features that were never brought to them in the past. Below is a breakdown and explanation of the new additions to ETSUBucs.com.

Video Player Section - This section allows fans to watch in depth videos of "Inside Buc Sports" (A weekly show recapping ETSU highlights, coaches interviews, and player profiles), "The Passion Video" (A look into the new future of ETSU athletics), and ASun.TV (New conference wide web streaming system). Please click the above link to access these new videos.

"Who's Hot" sponsored by Atmos Energy - This section features the top performances of Buccaneer student-athletes on a weekly basis.

Rotating Headlines - Fans will be kept up-to-date with a freshly designed headline section. This section will rotate through the top-five stories on the main page, and the top-three on the individual sport pages.

Player Profiles - The new addition can be found on the upper right-hand corner of the every team's webpage, featuring an action shot of ETSU student-athletes and their bio.

Rotating Sponsor Links - This newly designed section can be found on the bottom of the athletic site, and rotates through all of ETSU's sponsors every five to seven seconds. Fans have the ability to click on the ads so they can learn more about the Buccaneer sponsors, as they will be directed to the respective website.

Media Zone - This newly created section will be used for other athletic departments to pull stat crew and word rosters, as well as logos, game notes, and media relations office information.

Along with the new features Buccaneer fans can expect to see all the other tools that were used in the past, including news stories, updated statistics, media guides, box scores, online ticket purchasing, online Buccaneer store and many more items.
