ETSU volleyball tops the Hatters, 3-1

DELAND, Fla. (Sept. 26, 2008) - The ETSU volleyball team won its second straight conference match Friday night defeating Stetson at the Edmunds Center in DeLand, Fla., 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-20).

 

The Bucs (5-8, 2-4 A-Sun) were led by Erin Ryan (Davie, Fla.) who tallied 13 kills in the match. Jamie Stancliff (Advance, N.C.) and Mallory Kiley (Palm Harbor, Fla.) also played well as Stancliff had 12 kills, while Kiley had 11 kills and three blocks.

 

Sophomore Whitney Cogburn (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the team with 39 assists and had five kills and nine digs. Defensively Jen Neice (Allen, Texas) led ETSU in the back with 15 digs.
