JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 5, 2008) - The ETSU volleyball team dropped its first game at the Marshall Tournament in Huntington, W. Va., Friday to Western Kentucky, 3-0 (16-25, 17-25, 24-26).

"Our forced errors really affected the team to push through and pull out a win tonight," said head coach Lindsey Devine. "Even in the third set, the team had a chance to pull out a set and unfortunately errors prevented us from winning the set.

Offensively, Amanda Youell (Middleburg, Fla.) and Lauren Baufield (Plymouth, Minn.) had six kills for the Bucs, while Youell also led the team with 12 assists and two blocks.

The Bucs (2-2) finish the tournament tomorrow taking on host Marshall (2-1) at 11 a.m., followed by Virginia Tech (3-0) at 4:30 p.m. The Virginia Tech match marks the final non-conference match before the ETSU home opener on Sept. 9 against conference opponent USC Upstate in Brooks Gym.
