JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 11, 2008) -After dropping its first contest of the season, last Friday, at Summers-Taylor Stadium the ETSU women's soccer team will head south to Denton, Texas, for a 8:00 p.m., Friday contest against North Texas. This marks the start of a three-game road trip that will see the 2-1 Bucs, face regionally ranked No. 12 TCU on Sunday, followed by a match at No. 8 South Carolina, September 19.

ETSU comes into the contest after dropping a 3-0, decision against currently ranked No. 10 Vanderbilt. Despite the loss to the Commodores, ETSU has posted three goals on the season, while holding its opponents to a 1.32 goals against average. Leading the way defensively for the Bucs is r-freshman goalkeeper Megan Masch (Virginia Beach, Va.) who has made 16 saves and holds a .800 save percentage.

North Texas comes into the contest posting a 3-1 overall record, picking up wins against Louisiana Tech, Xavier and Oklahoma, before dropping its last contest to UTSA, last Sunday. The Mean Green looks to be a tough opponent for the Bucs at home, losing only five contests at Mean Green Soccer Stadium in the past nine seasons. Individually, North Texas is led by Kelli Lunsford, who was recently named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week. The junior defender scored both the game-tying and game-winning goals against Oklahoma, last Friday.
