Bucs looks to sweep series against UNC-Asheville

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 23, 2009) - The ETSU baseball team is set to host UNC Asheville Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Cardinal Park as the Bucs look to complete the sweep of the Bulldogs.
The two teams met last Tuesday in Asheville, N.C. as the Bucs won the game 3-2 behind the arm of freshman Bo Reeder (Cookeville, Tenn.).
ETSU (9-10, 3-6 A-Sun) comes into the series having won four of its last five games taking two out of three this past weekend from Campbell after beating UNC Asheville and Appalachian State in a couple midweek games. The Bucs are led offensively by senior Ben Allen (Kingsport, Tenn.) as he leads the team hitting .347 on the season.
The Bulldogs (10-7, 1-4 A-Sun) have dropped four out of their last five games dropping both midweek games and took the final game of a three-game series against VMI on Sunday. UNC Asheville is led by junior Justin Schumer.
The game can be heard live on the radio on the Holston Valley Broadcasting Corporation's family of stations, which include WKPT-AM (1400) and WKPT-FM (94.3) in Kingsport, WOPI-AM (1490) and WOPI-FM (97.9) in Bristol, and WKTP-AM (1590) and WKTP-FM (97.7) in Johnson City.
