JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 19, 2009) - The ETSU baseball team is set to take on Evansville Friday at 3 p.m. at Cardinal Park in the 2009 season opener.

The Purple Aces will be in town for a three game series with game time for Saturday and Sunday set at 1 p.m. This is the first meeting between the two programs, and the Bucs are 9-9 all-time against teams from Indiana.

The Bucs have two non-conference series before the conference opener on March 6 against Kennesaw State. ETSU was 2-1 last season in non-conference home series.

This weekend will be Mardi Gras weekend at the ball park as fans will recieve free beads and there will be festive music .
