JOHNSON CITY, Tenn (Oct. 23, 2009) - Head ETSU women's basketball coach Karen Kemp announced Friday evening that junior forward Shannon White (Kansas City, Kan.) has been released from the Lady Buccaneer program.

"Shannon violated team rules that did not represent the Lady Bucs in a proper manner," commented Kemp. "I hope Shannon learns from her mistakes and wish her the best of luck in the future."

White averaged 2.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 7.1 minutes of action in her only season at ETSU in 2008-09.

The Lady Bucs continue preparing for the 2009-10 season and their exhibition opener with University of the Cumberlands. Tip time with the Patriots is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1.
