Hoilman named to ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American First Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 25, 2010) - Junior Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) added to his honors Tuesday as he was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America University Division Baseball first team, announced the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

 

The only junior on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America University Division Baseball first team, Hoilman is a mathematics major with a 3.93 GPA. The A-Sun Player of the year and a pre-season All-American pick, Hoilman is having one of the finest seasons in ETSU baseball history.

 

Hoilman joins Gary Robinette as the only players in the programs history to be named a CoSIDA Academic All-American.

 

The Atlantic Sun Conference leader with a .428 batting average, Hoilman is the 10th-leading hitter in NCAA Division I. He is also second in the nation with 76 runs scored and 77 RBI. A first team All-Atlantic Sun Conference pick as a sophomore and a junior, the Johnson City, Tenn. native already has 50 home runs and 190 RBI's in his career.
