ETSU baseball to host former SoCon rival Wofford

Tuesday, May 04, 2010

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 4, 2010) - The ETSU baseball team is set to host Wofford in a non-conference match up Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Cardinal Park.

The Bucs (23-18, 11-7 A-Sun) have won six of their last seven games including an impressive series sweep over Stetson this past weekend. Sophomore Bo Reeder (Cookeville, Tenn.) is coming off of his second career Atlantic Sun Player of the Week award after hitting .522 (12-23) with a double, four home runs and 11 RBIs last week.

ETSU is 20-13 all-time against the Terriers, and will be looking for revenge after dropping a heartbreaker 8-7 to Wofford earlier this year.

The Terriers (14-29, 7-14 SoCon) come into the contest having won three of their last seven games including two from UNC Greensboro and one from Elon. Catcher Mac Doyle leads Wofford offensively hitting .390 with 21 doubles, five triples, 15 home runs and 64 RBI.
