JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 14, 2010) -- Former ETSU men's golf All-American Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) just started his first full season on the European Tour, and was recently featured on the tour's website.

Davies, who played at ETSU from 2003-2007 and was a three-time first-team All-American, is a multiple winner at the professional level and has played in two major championships. He qualified for and played in the 2007 U.S. Open just weeks after graduating from ETSU, and he most recently made the field for the 2009 British Open. He has yet to make the cut in a major, but is looking to only improve his skills during the upcoming European Tour season. 

Davies holds multiple school records at ETSU including most career wins with 10. He spent much of his senior season ranked No. 1 in the country, and has played the last two years professionally in Asia and Europe.
