Bucs hold team lead, top individual spot at Coca-Cola Wofford event

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 12, 2010) - Sophomore Michael Stewart (Troon, Scotland) finished at 6-under-par 138 and senior Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) carded a 5-under 139, powering the No. 29-ranked ETSU men's golf team to the top spot after two rounds in the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational Monday at the Country Club of Spartanburg.

The Bucs had four players finish in the Top 11 individually en route to their first-place effort, including a tie for sixth by junior Paul O'Kane (Castledawson, Northern Ireland) and a tie for 11th by freshman Garth McGee (Bangor, Northern Ireland). ETSU leads by seven strokes over second place Charleston Southern, while host Wofford is in third and 12 strokes back of the Bucs.

While Stewart and Power hold the top two spots, USC Upstate's Josh Gallman, Wofford's Mark Joye and Charleston Southern's Ross Thomson are all tied for third at 141.

Third and final round play in the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational will conclude on Tuesday, and a full wrap up of the day's action will be available on ETSUBucs.com.
