MACON, Ga. (April 14, 2010) - After winning its fourth Atlantic Sun Conference Regular Season title two weeks ago the No. 70 ETSU women's tennis team placed four of its student-athletes on the A-Sun's annual postseason conference awards the league announced Wednesday.

Leading the way for the Lady Bucs was senior Yevgeniya Stupak (Kyiv, Ukraine) and sophomore Paula Jaime (Madrid, Spain) who was named First-Team All-Atlantic Sun honorees, while junior Andra Voinea (Brasov, Romania) and freshman Diana Navrosksta (Kviv, Ukraine) were tabbed as Second-Team All-Atlantic Sun members. In addition to those accolades Navrosksta was also a unanimous selection on the All-Freshman Atlantic Sun Team.

On the way to her third First-Team honor of her career, Stupak led the ETSU attack with a 28-7 record, while earning a remarkable 9-1 mark  against A-Sun competitors this spring. In addition to her strong No. 1 singles play in the A-Sun the ETSU captain shined on the national stage as the Kyiv, Ukraine native earned a conference-leading seven victories against players from nationally ranked teams.

Like her former doubles teammate Jaime - in only her second year of collegiate tennis - played unbelievable this spring. The second-year player from Madrid, Spain went unbeaten in A-Sun play (10-0), while earning the highest ranked win in the A-Sun after she defeated No. 37 Maria Sorbello of No. 11 Tennessee in January. Overall, Jamie posted 10 wins against players from nationally ranked squads, while along with fellow classmate Karina Kedzo (Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela), the Latino duo lost only one doubles match in conference competition.

Like Jaime, Voinea continued her strapping play against A-Sun players as the ETSU junior also went unbeaten against league players (10-0). After a wrist injury sidelined her a season ago, Voinea won six matches against players from ITA ranked teams, while defeating three previously unbeaten conference opponents at the backend of the Lady Bucs lineup.

Finally, Navrosksta closed out her first season of collegiate tennis with a 19-7 record, while posting a 9-1 mark in A-Sun play. This spring Diana has a 14-3 dual match record, while along with doubles teammate Tara Sheets (Gate City, Va.), the Lady Buc duo leads the team with 14 wins.

With its regular season wrapped up ETSU opens play in the 2010 A-Sun Tournament with a 4:30 p.m. match Friday in DeLand, Fla.
