NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 27, 2010) - As the ETSU women's tennis team closed out its quick two-match road trip to Nashville the Lady Bucs continued to sing a nice tune as the Lady Bucs stayed unbeaten in Atlantic Sun Conference with a 7-0 win over league foe Belmont Saturday at the Davis Tennis Complex.

With the victory the Lady Bucs improved their overall record to 13-2, with a perfect 8-0 mark in A-Sun play, while the Bruins dropped to 3-10 overall and a 0-7 record in conference acton.

After ETSU swept the doubles point, the Lady Bucs extended their lead with as senior Yevgeniya Stupak (Kyiv, Ukraine) had no trouble with Abby Leatherwood defeating the Bruin junior 6-0, 6-0.

Joining her teammate was sophomore Paula Jaime (Madrid, Spain) who blanked Abigail Hogan with a pair of six love sets wins.

Freshman Diana Navrostska (Kviv, Ukraine) then closed out the win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory Natalia Nunes at the No. 5 position.

The Lady Bucs continued to roll as junior Andra Voinea (Brasov, Romania) - the Romanian rocket - blew past Lauren Irick 6-4, 6-0, while local junior Tara Sheets (Gate City, Va.) - the Gate City grenade - bombed junior Lindsay Bennett 7-5, 4-6, 10-7 at No. 4.

Rounding out the scores was junior Kelly Holtzhausen (Johannesburg, South Africa) who picked up her sixth win-in-a-row with a 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 win over Laura Stack.

"It was good to see Stupak get another conference shutout, while I thought Kelly struggled early before she found her rhythm," said Brooks. "Then at No. 4 Tara got overruled a couple of times in the first three games and got a little apprehensive before settling down."
