Lady Bucs look to keep A-Sun unbeaten mark at Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 25, 2010) - After winning three straight matches the ETSU women's tennis team looks to continue its sweet tune as the Lady Bucs take on Atlantic Sun Conference foe Lipscomb with a 2 p.m. contest Friday in Nashville.
ETSU (11-3, 6-0 A-Sun) travels to Music City after sweeping No. 73 USC Upstate, Campbell and Kentucky. Overall the Lady Bucs have been strong since the first of February winning 10 out of their last 11 contests.
Individually, junior Kelly Holtzhausen (Johannesburg, South Africa) leads the way for ETSU after winning her last three matches. First, Holtzhausen picked up a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Carolina Bello (USCU) , while a day later the Johannesburg, South Africa native blew past Christina Garcia Brunet 7-6, 6-1.
Holtzhausen's best win during her victory span came Tuesday as the Lady Buc transfer topped No. 128 Megan Broderick of Kentucky, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 which clinched ETSU's win over the Wildcats.
Lipscomb (4-12, 0-5 A-Sun) welcomes the Lady Bucs after dropping its last 10 matches. The last victory for the Lady Bisons came February 20 against Robert Morris.
Individually, Kara Jackson and Mackenzie Bishop lead LU with seven singles wins at the No. 1 and No. 4 positions.
