JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 29, 2010) - Junior first baseman Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) did it again as he claimed the Cape Cod Baseball League Home Run Derby Championship Wednesday night at Fenway Park in Boston.

Hoilman crushed 17 to win the inaugural contest at the College World Series earlier this summer and was the easy favorite going into last night.

After hitting just two home runs in the first round, Hoilman edged Chatham's Ricky Oropesa (USC) with three home runs in the final - all of them over the Green Monster, and all of them absolutely crushed.

Stuck on two and down to his final out, Hoilman took the toss from pitching coach Scott Gurss of Cotuit and curled it inside the left-field foul pole to take home the crown.

"I wouldn't say I'm getting good at this, but I just got enough of that one," Hoilman said. "It's a lot tougher here than it was in Omaha. I was pretty nervous and, thankfully, that one had enough, I was worried about it not getting out."

Bourne's Dan Bowman (Coastal Carolina) opened the contest with six, all of them over the Green Monster as well. Oropesa and Hoilman tied for second place with two and all three were sent into the finals. Bowman went homerless in the finals.
