Hi again! I'm back with more stories straight from the locker room and field to you guys. Pre season is over. We started the first week of season training hard because we know the expectations for this year and how tough the schedule is. Our first stop would be Furman, a really strong side that quite often makes it to the NCAA nationals. We were ready and excited about starting our season and having the first test; so we left Johnson City and headed to Furman University.
We definitely had the best chances in the game, but once again we let the result slip through our hands. We lost 1-0, and it was a really hard loss. Although the result wasn't what we expected, a lot of good things were taken out of that game. We were tired of having good performances but coming up empty handed out of games, and we were motivated to change this situation.
After the Furman game the team was a little upset but we kept working hard. We knew we could not stop working, since we had another hard task ahead: Clemson at their home field. We went over the game plan during practices and talked about what was going to be the key to win the game. Once again, we were leaving town to face a good side. However this time the end of the story was different. We fought throughout the whole game and in the end we were awarded with a huge result for us and for the program. We beat Clemson and took a step closer to prove the quality of this team. But we all know that it is just the beginning, we have a lot to improve and a lot to achieve still.
That's all I have for today. I will have more stories for you guys in 2 weeks. Hopefully they have happy endings

Until next time,
Guilherme Reis #5
