ELON, N.C. (Oct. 9, 2010) -
The ETSU women's tennis team came away with four titles on the final day of the Elon Fall Invitational, Sunday at Elon University's Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

The Bucs started the day strong in doubles with two tournament titles. First, the doubles team of Giulia Andreazza (Balneario Camboriu, Brazil) and Andra Voinea (Brasov, Romania) defeated the Elon duo of Stavreva/Sessoms 8-6. Andreazza/Voinea went a perfect 3-0 on the weekend to earn the A-3 doubles flight title.

Just a bit later, the Bucs got another title as Paula Jaime (Madrid, Spain) and Karina Kedzo (Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela) defeated the Elon team of Berne/Johnston in a hard fought match, 9-7. Jaime/Kedzo also finished a perfect 3-0 on the weekend to win the A-1 flight doubles title. The A-1 flight was the highest ranked bracket at the event.

Soon after Voinea teamed with Andreazza to earn the doubles title, she defeated Sarah Moomah of Longwood 6-2, 6-1 in the finals of the A-3 singles flight. Voinea has now won two tournament titles this fall as she won the B flight singles bracket at the USC Upstate Fall Invitational just last month.

To cap off the strong weekend, Andreazza fought back from being a set down to down Nicky Schon of UNC Asheville 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4, in the finals of the B-1 singles flight. Andreazza, a freshman, won four consecutive matches in route to her first tournament titles.

The Bucs return to action on October 14 as they will participate in the ITA Regional in Knoxville.
