MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Nov. 24, 2010) - The ETSU women's basketball team continues its four-game road swing Friday night when the Lady Bucs travel to Murfreesboro and face in-state non-conference foe Middle Tennessee State. Tip is set for 8 p.m. inside the Charles M. Murphy Athletic Center.

After starting the season with wins over Chattanooga (77-60) and Richmond (96-84), ETSU has dropped its last two games as the Lady Bucs were defeated by Appalachian State (75-56) and seventh-ranked Ohio State (80-47). Despite suffering back-to-back setbacks, the Lady Bucs only dropped one spot in the most recent CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll as ETSU is ranked 17th.

Junior Natalie Pickwell (Kingsport, Tenn.) is coming off a career high 16-point effort against the Buckeyes last time out, while freshman guard Shawn Randall (Orlando, Fla.) enjoyed her best game thus far at the college level on Monday night in Columbus. Randall finished with 12 points in 27 minutes off the bench.

Like the Lady Bucs, MTSU is coming off a loss over a BCS program as the Blue Raiders fell at Arkansas, 77-50, last Sunday afternoon. MTSU was led by sophomore guard Icelyn Elie's 15 points, while senior Marie Anne Lanning added 14 points in 40 minutes of action.

The Blue Raiders, who picked up wins over South Florida and Austin Peay prior to the Arkansas loss, were picked second in the Sun Belt East, while Lanning was named third team all-conference. Middle Tennessee State made its 13th trip to the NCAA Tournament a year ago, while also winning six of the last seven Sun Belt Tournament Championships.

Fans unable to make the trip to Murfreesboro can listen to all the action live as Voice of the Lady Bucs John Stevens will carry the play-by-play on WXSM-AM 640 The Sports Monster. Live stats and live video streaming will also be provided by visiting www.GoBlueRaiders.com.
