JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 19, 2011) - After recently earning a ninth place finish at the spring opening JU Invitational, the ETSU men's golf team returns to action in a highly competitive field at the Puerto Rico Classic.
The setting for the event will be the par-72, 6,902-yard Rio Mar Country Club, where competitors will play 18 holes per day from Sunday-Tuesday.
ETSU senior Paul O'Kane (Castledawson, Northern Ireland) led the Bucs at the JU Invitational as he tied for 14th individually. O'Kane put together a solid final round 69 (3-under) to move up the leaderboard.

Headlined by top-ranked Oklahoma State, the Puerto Rico Classic will play host to six teams currently in the top 25 of the Golfweek/Sagarin Ratings. In addition to Oklahoma State, No. 4 Alabama and No. 5 Georgia Tech, the field will also include No. 14 Georgia, No. 17 North Carolina State and No. 22 Ohio State.
Other teams competing, along with the Bucs are host Purdue, Clemson, Michigan, Northwestern, Oklahoma, defending champion Texas and UNC Greensboro.
