ETSU women currently tied for 11th at Rebel Intercollegiate

OXFORD, Miss. (April 1, 2011) - Senior Nina Muehl (Vienna, Austria) fired a first round score of 3-over-par 75 to lead the ETSU women's golf team during first round play in the Rebel Intercollegiate Friday afternoon at the Ole Miss Golf Course.
Muehl finished the day tied for 23rd on the individual leaderboard, and the Buccaneers are currently tied for 11th in the team competition at 308. Meanwhile, Tennessee is in first place by eight strokes over Maryland, Coastal Carolina, and host Ole Miss on the team leaderboard, and Southern Miss' Virginia Espejo shot a tournament-best, 4-under-par 68 to hold a three-stroke advantage over the entire field individually.
Along with Muehl's efforts, the Bucs got solid performances from junior Mayte Vizcarrondo (Cadiz, Spain) and freshman Sian Evans (Gillingham, England), both of whom finished the day tied for 39th after posting a pair of 5-over-par 77s. In addition, freshman Larissa Steinfeldt (Eschweiler, Germany) posted a 79 to finish tied for 60th.
