This week in ETSU Athletics: October 31- November 6
Monday, October 31, 2011 Men’s Basketball This week: The Bucs will close out the exhibition season on Saturday afternoon when they host Carson-Newman. The opening tip is set for 4 p.m. inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center. Last week: ETSU opened up the season with a 101-72 victory over Tusculum in an exhibition game on Saturday evening. Women’s Basketball This week: The Lady Bucs open up exhibition play on Thursday night when they host Carson-Newman inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center at 7 p.m. Coverage: Live video will be available via ASun.TV, while live audio will be available at ETSUBucs.com and on the Buccaneer Sports Network. Live stats will also be offered at ETSUBucs.com. Men’s Soccer Last week: The Bucs went 1-0-1 on the week after defeating tying Clemson on Monday and defeating USC Upstate on Saturday. The victory over USC Upstate gave the Bucs a berth into the Atlantic Sun Tournament, which they host beginning on Wednesday, November 9. Promotion: Tuesday’s match will be Senior Night for three Buccaneer seniors. Aaron Schoenfeld, Jaron Westbrook and Blake Pelton will be honored before the start of the match. Volleyball Last week: ETSU went 1-0 on the week after earning a thrilling five-set road victory over Kennesaw State on Friday night. Women’s Tennis This week: The ETSU women’s tennis team will close out fall tournament play after participating in the Virginia Tech Invitational. The tournament will get underway on Friday.
