Beef O Brady’s tailgate to kick off Friday night Trifecta
Thursday, November 10, 2011
Veterans also to be honored at each event
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 10, 2011) – Beef O Brady’s is kicking off Friday night’s Trifecta of ETSU athletic events with a free pregame tailgate, starting at 5:45 p.m. at the north end parking lot of Summers-Taylor Stadium.
Friday night marks the season opener for ETSU women’s basketball as the Lady Bucs host Tennessee Tech in the Preseason WNIT – while right next door in Brooks Gym – the Buccaneer volleyball team kicks off Senior Weekend with a rematch of last season’s Atlantic Sun Championship against Lipscomb.
If two home games at the same time weren’t enough to keep the Buccaneer faithful occupied, then they can head over to Summers-Taylor Stadium to see the ETSU men’s soccer team take on Stetson in the semifinals of the A-Sun Tournament. The Bucs defeated the Hatters, 1-0, in last year’s championship game. Game time for all three events is set for 7 p.m.
Beef O Brady’s wants to bring all the Buccaneer fans together before the Trifecta of fun begins with a pregame tailgate, so fans are encouraged to show up early for the free food prior to the events.
In addition to the Beef O Brady’s tailgate, Wendy’s will be providing free food to students who attend the women’s basketball game, while the first 100 students through the gates receive a free T-shirt prior to the WNIT tipoff. During the ETSU/TTU game, one lucky fan will also be given the chance to win $100 cash, courtesy of Johnson City Honda.
Meanwhile, over in Brooks Gym, Friday is “Middle School Night” meaning any middle school student who attends the match receives admission for only a Buc ($1).
With Friday being Veterans Day, those who have and are continuing to serve our country will be honored at all three events.
To purchase tickets to any of these games, please call the ETSU Ticket Office at (423) 439-3878.
For those who can’t attend any of these events, fans can follow all the action on Twitter @ETSUAthletics and via live stats on Gametracker. The men’s soccer and women’s basketball game will be aired live on A-Sun.TV, while the Lady Bucs game will be broadcast on WXSM-AM 640 The Extreme Sports Monster.
