Buccaneers to find out first-round opponent and location on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 29, 2012) – Having earned a berth into its sixth-consecutive NCAA Tournament by defeating North Florida 4-1 last weekend in the final of the 2012 Atlantic Sun Championship, the ETSU men’s tennis team, along with the ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, will host an NCAA Selection Show party on Tuesday starting at 6:15 p.m. inside the Humphreys Center.

ETSU invites all fans and media to take part in the celebration. The Humphreys Center is located on the second level of the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center. Fans can access the entrance by walking up the ramp on the west side of the building.

NCAA.com will broadcast the announcement of the 2012 field via live-streaming video beginning at 6:30 p.m. Fans and media are encouraged to arrive ahead of time so everybody can be settled in by the time the show starts.

Running the table in A-Sun play for the first time since 2009, ETSU (14-8, 9-0 A-Sun) will head into the NCAA Tournament on a 14-match winning streak. The Buccaneers started the season 0-8, but have not lost since Feb. 25 when they defeated Appalachian State 6-1 at the Bristol Racquet Club.

ETSU will also be looking for its first NCAA win since defeating Alabama 4-2 in 2010. The Bucs are 2-3 overall over their past five NCAA Tournament appearances, with their other win coming in 2008 against Notre Dame. In last year’s tournament, the Buccaneers were dealt a heartbreaking 4-3 loss in the first round at the hands of the Fighting Irish. ETSU led the match 3-2, but dropped the two remaining points at No. 3 and No. 4 singles.
