NORMAN, Okla. (July 26, 2012) – Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars for Divisions I, II and the NAIA have been announced by the GCAA, and for the second time in his collegiate career ETSU men’s golfer Rhys Enoch (Cornwall, England) received the prestigious academic honor.

Enoch, who also earned the accolade in 2009-10, was one of 146 golfers in Division I to receive the All-America Scholar honor. In May, Enoch was named the Atlantic Sun Scholar-Athlete of the Year as he finished with a 3.50 grade-point-average while working towards his Master’s in Sport Management.  In the spring of 2011, Enoch graduated with a B.S. in Sport Management and received A-Sun Commissioner Scholar honors after finishing with a cumulative GPA of 3.687. In addition, Enoch was a four-time A-Sun All-Academic Team member.

On the course, Enoch earned Second-Team All-Atlantic Sun honors after leading the Buccaneers with a 73.5 stroke average, while earning three second place finishes this past season. Enoch finished inside the top-20 on the individual leaderboard in eight of the team’s 11 tournaments on the year. Meanwhile, he earned Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honors on February 1 for his second place finish at the Sea Best Invitational.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.
