Coach Watts Announces 2012 Cross Country Schedule

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 14, 2012) – With preseason training set to begin next week for the ETSU Cross Country teams, head coach George Watts released the Buccaneers’ 2012 schedule Wednesday afternoon.

ETSU kicks off its 2012 campaign with a trip to Boone, N.C. for the Covered Bridge Invitational on Friday, Aug. 31 and will return to the High Country on Oct. 12 for the Blue Ridge Open.

The Bucs will take a week off of competition before returning to the trail on Sept. 14 for the Virginia Tech Invitational.  The Blue and Gold will wrap up the month of September with a trip to Louisville, Ky. (Sept. 29) for the Greater Louisville Classic to catch a glimpse of the NCAA National Championship course.

The A-Sun Championships will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 when Florida Gulf Coast hosts the annual event. The Buccaneer men’s squad will look to claim their first conference title since 2008 and the women’s squad will look capture their first conference title.  

The NCAA South Regional is set for Friday, Nov. 9, while the NCAA Championships are held at the University of Louisville on Saturday, Nov. 17.
