JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 27, 2012) – For the second time in his young career, ETSU redshirt freshman forward Lester Wilson (Knoxville) has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Newcomer of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4 engineering major averaged 19 points and 5.5 rebounds last week as the Buccaneers picked up their first win of the season at Charleston Southern, and later dropped a contest at Southeastern Conference opponent Georgia.

Wilson scored a career high 26 points and carried the Bucs’ offense in the hard-fought 59-57 win over Charleston Southern. He followed that performance with a team-high 12 points in the loss to Georgia.

For the week, Wilson shot 47 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range.

The Bucs will return to action Thursday night in a home contest against Milligan College. Tip is set for 7 p.m. in the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center.
