Baseball pushes back start time for Friday’s season opener

First pitch now slated for 2:35 p.m. at Thomas Stadium
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 11, 2013) – With all the pregame festivities planned prior to baseball’s season opener with Penn State, the ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has decided to push Friday’s start time back 30 minutes.
Originally, the Bucs were scheduled to take on Penn State at 2:05 p.m., but now first pitch will be tossed at 2:35 p.m. at Thomas Stadium.
Earlier on Friday, a dedication ceremony will be held inside Thomas Stadium beginning at 10:30 a.m. Fans are encouraged to come out for the celebration, while free food (courtesy of FATZ) and T-shirts will be given away to students as supplies last.
