NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 18, 2014) – A week and a half after being drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers, ETSU two-way player Clinton Freeman (Jonesborough, Tenn.) landed Second Team All-South Region honors, which was released by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Wednesday.

(June 7, 2014) – Chris Riopedre (Miami, Fla.) became the second Buccaneer player to be drafted on day three of the Major League Baseball Draft as the ETSU junior shortstop was taken by the Washington Nationals in the 23rd round on Saturday afternoon. Riopedre was the 694th overall pick in the first-year player draft.

Culp University Center, the East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics was officially welcomed back into the Southern Conference.
