Fans have the chance to win up to $100
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 13, 2013) – The ETSU volleyball team will hold “Fan Appreciation Day” this Saturday when the Bucs host Jacksonville in a possible showdown for the Atlantic Sun regular season championship. First-serve is set for 3 p.m. inside Brooks Gym.
With Saturday marking the final home game for the Blue and Gold this year, fans who attend the regular season finale, will have the opportunity to win up to $100. Each fan who enters the gate will receive a raffle ticket, and at the end of the match, those with winning tickets can win up to $100.
The Bucs (21-7, 15-1 A-Sun) have won eight straight overall, along with their last 14 home matches, while Jacksonville enters weekend play one-game behind ETSU for the conference lead at 25-3, 14-2.
ETSU’s lone conference setback came against Jacksonville back on Oct. 18, when the Dolphins took down the Blue and Gold in five sets.
Should both teams win on Friday night, the winner of Saturday’s match will determine the outright regular season champion, resulting in the No. 1 seed in next week’s A-Sun Tournament. The last time the Bucs won a regular season title was back in 2006, when ETSU went 9-0 in A-Sun play.
Prior to Saturday’s match, the Bucs host North Florida Friday night at 7 p.m., while Jacksonville visits USC Upstate at 7 p.m.
