Choo named A-Sun Women's Tennis Player of the Week

MACON, Ga. (March 5, 2014) – For the third time in her ETSU career, women’s tennis player Lyn Yee Choo (Kuching, Malaysia) has been named Atlantic Sun Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.

Monday, March 3, Choo helped lead the Buccaneers to a 4-1 upset win over No. 62 and reigning Southern Conference champion College of Charleston in Mount Pleasant, S.C.

The Kuching, Malaysia, native advanced to 5-3 in singles play with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Kelly Kambourelis at No. 1 singles, while also teaming with Anna Gerbasi to pick up a win at No. 1 doubles.

ETSU will open conference play when it hosts Florida Gulf Goast Friday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m.
