U.S. Women's National Team captures gold at NORCECA World Championship Qualification Tournament

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 22, 2014) – For the second time in as many years, ETSU volleyball head coach Lindsey Devine earned a medal coaching with Team USA volleyball.

Devine, who helped guide the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team to a silver medal at the 2013 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U-18 World Championship, assisted the U.S. Women’s National Team to a gold medal at the NORCECA World Championship Qualification Tournament last weekend at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

The U.S. Women finished the tournament with a 4-0 record and qualified for the World Championships, which will be held Sept. 23-Oct. 12 in Italy. Panama (2-2) took the silver medal. Earlier in the day, Guatemala (2-2) defeated Honduras (0-4) for the bronze medal (25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-13).
