JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 11, 2013) – ETSU women’s golf head coach Stefanie Shelton announced Wednesday the addition of two student-athletes to her team’s roster for the 2013-14 season.

The Buccaneers, who begin their fall schedule this Sunday at the Mary Fossum Invitational in East Lansing, Mich., have added freshmen  Rachel Pollock (Guelph, Canada) and Dominika Czudkova (Cesky Tesin, Czech Republic) to a team roster that remains primarily intact following a 2013 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship and NCAA Regional berth.

Pollock, who was her high school’s team MVP for four straight seasons, was also the 2011 Ontario Future Links Long Drive Champion and captured the 2012 Graham Cooke Invitational Championship. In addition, she was also a two-time CWOSAA champion in 2010 and 2011, making her the top player in Ontario.

“Rachel is a highly competitive golfer with extreme potential,” Shelton said. “She is fortunate to have a tremendous coach at home who has pushed her game forward. I look for Rachel to play a huge part in our success this year.”

Meanwhile, Czudkova won the 2011 Slovak Junior Championship, while also capturing titles in the 2012 Polish Match Play Championship and the Faldo Series Czech Championship. Having competed in several tournament settings throughout her young career, Czudkova also placed second in the 2010 Czech Girls Championship and second in both the 2010 and 2011 Polish Ladies Open.

"Dominika has had a lot of great tournament play and finishes,” Shelton said. “She will be definite force on our team, and her training at the Leadbetter Academy has allowed her to be a very consistent scorer.”
