"Getting to Know" Briana Allmon

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 25, 2013) – Each week during the volleyball season members of the ETSU volleyball team will be featured in a segment called “Getting to Know You.”

The fourth volleyball player to be featured is freshman outside hitter Briana Allmon (Flower Mound, Texas). During the preseason, the players were given the questionnaire, which can be found below, and each of them submitted their answers. Below are the responses by Allmon:

What’s the number one thing on your bucket list? 

  • Going up in a hot air balloon

If you could be on any reality TV show what would it be and why?

  • If I could sing, I’d love to be on “The Voice” and have the opportunity to work with an amazing artist as well as get to chance to meet an extremely famous person.

What is one thing you can’t live without and why?

  • My family, because they are always there for me and support me in everything I do.

If you were stranded on an island what are two things you would bring with you?

  • A boat full of my friends and family and unlimited food

Is there any meaning behind your number you wear?

  • Not really… it was the closest to the number five, which is the number I have always wore.

If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?

  • I would want to be a boy to see how they perceive the world and how they really see girls.

If you weren’t playing volleyball, what sport would you play?

  • I think I would try to do high jump.

Do you have a game day tradition?

  • I listen to a certain playlist and do my hair in a certain way. I also always wear the same headband for all my games.

What are your plans after graduation? 

  • I plan on working as a nurse for two years before returning to school to get a master’s in Nurse Anesthesiology.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

  • I can clasp my hands behind my back and bring them over my head without letting come apart.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the off-season?

  • I just like to relax and use my time off to catch up on my favorite TV shows and read my books.
