JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 8, 2013) – Each week during the volleyball season members of the ETSU volleyball team will be featured in a segment called “Getting to Know You.”

The sixth player to be featured is junior right side hitter Bethany Gesell (High Point, N.C.). During the preseason, the players were given the questionnaire, which can be found below, and each of them submitted their answers. Below are the responses by Gesell:

What’s the number one thing on your bucket list? 

  • To go skydiving! 

If you could be on any reality TV show what would it be and why?

  • “Property Brothers,” so I can meet the brothers.

What is one thing you can’t live without and why?

  • Chocolate, it’s like my coffee!

If you were stranded on an island what are two things you would bring with you?

  • My IPod and pillow.

Is there any meaning behind your number you wear?

  • No, #7 is the number I was given when I got to ETSU.

If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?

  • My teammate Eryn Samuels.

If you weren’t playing volleyball, what sport would you play?

  • Softball

Do you have a game day tradition?

  • I always have to straighten my hair.

What are your plans after graduation? 

  • To stay in Tennessee and teach at an elementary school.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

  • I am left-handed.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the off-season?

  • Sleep!

The ETSU volleyball team is back in action this weekend as the Bucs return home to host Stetson Friday night at 6 p.m., and Florida Gulf Coast Saturday at 3 p.m. Both games will be played inside Brooks Gym, while a FREE pregame tailgate will be held in the “quad area” in front of Brooks Gym beginning at 1:30 p.m., Saturday.
