JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 19, 2014) – Members of the ETSU Football coaching staff shared insight and tricks of the trade with area coaches Saturday as part of the second annual Carl Torbush/ETSU Football Coaching Clinic presented by Appalachian Orthopaedic Associates.

Coaches from varying skill levels gathered inside the Martha Culp Auditorium on the ETSU campus as Torbush and ETSU assistant football coaches Billy Taylor, Mike O'Cain, Teddy Gaines, and Erik Losey delivered presentations on various facets of the game, including offensive and defensive philosophies, pass protection concepts, and man-to-man defensive techniques.

Jim Cavanaugh, a former assistant coach at Virginia Tech, UNC, and N.C. State, Justin Zimmerman (Tusculum College), and Paul Humphries (Maryville College) also presented demonstrations during the day-long clinic.

Attendees of the clinic received an exclusive ETSU football folder, a Continental breakfast, and a special Fellowship of Christian Athletes luncheon sponsored by Dickey's Barbecue Pit.

Saturday's clinic marked the first of two clinics in as many weeks for the ETSU football program.

Next Saturday, July 26, Torbush and staff will host the Carl Torbush/ETSU Football Kids Camp presented by Chick-Fil-A at Johnson City Crossings.

The "Kids Camp" is open to children entering 4th grades to those entering 8th grade, and will be held inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.
