Virginia Challenge Up Next for ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 29, 2018) -- With their only home meet of the outdoor season coming up, and last weekend’s busy Catamount Classic behind them, ETSU’s track and field teams face a lighter schedule at the Virginia Challenge this Friday and Saturday. The Bucs are entered in just seven events in the two-day meet in Charlottesville, Va. That’s in contrast to the 35 events ETSU entered in Cullowhee.

Devine announces class of 2022

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 19, 2018) – Head coach Lindsey Devine announced on Thursday the signings of Alyssa Hatley (Rogersville, Tenn.), Adison Minor (Blountville, Tenn.), and Abbie Trantham (Candler, N.C.) to Letters of Commitment to join the program for the 2018-19 season.

Four Bucs earn SoCon Postseason Awards

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 18, 2018) – The ETSU men’s tennis team claimed four postseason Southern Conference accolades with Sergi Fontcuberta (Barcelona, Spain) and Robert Herrera (Barcelona, Spain) earning First Team in singles, while Miguel Este (Caracas, Venezeula) was placed on the Second Team at the No. 6 singles spot. Fontcuberta also earned a spot on the Second Team in doubles when combining with David Gonzalez (Barcelona, Spain).

Five Bucs highlight SoCon Postseason Awards

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 18, 2018) – The ETSU women’s tennis team claimed five postseason Southern Conference accolades with Alory Pereira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Ioanna Markesini (Athens, Greece) earning First Team in singles, while the duo also earned First Team in doubles. Senior Melissa Esguerra (Derrimutt, Australia) was named to the Second Team at the No. 5 singles spot and also earned a spot on the Second Team in doubles after combining with Yi Chi Ma (Kaohsiung, Taiwan). Alejandra Morales (Santiago, Chile) was honored with All-Freshman Team honors.
