Forty-Nine Bucs earn Spring Academic All-SoCon honors

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (June 27, 2016) – The league office announced on Monday that 49 ETSU student-athletes earned spots on the spring 2016 Academic All-Southern Conference team.

Chin, Loy earn SoCon postseason accolades

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 14, 2016) – The ETSU women’s golf team had two players earn postseason Southern Conference honors as league office announced its all-conference awards on Thursday. Hee Ying Loy (Baru, Kulaijaya, Malaysia) and Vivienne Chin (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia) landed on the all-conference team, while Loy was also placed on the All-Freshman Team.

Pinehurst, N.C. (Oct. 13, 2015) – The ETSU women’s golf team finished the final round at the Pinehurst Challenge by shooting a 290 and finished with a 875 score in the two-day tournament on Tuesday. The Bucs again improved today by jumping up three spots while finishing tied for 6th with William & Mary.

Pinehurst, N.C. (Oct. 12, 2015) – The East Tennessee State University women’s golf team competed hard on the first day of the Pinehurst Challenge. On Monday, the Bucs played 36 holes of golf and finished in ninth place out of 19 teams. Vivienne Chin (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia) carded the lowest overall score for ETSU with three under par.

Women's golf shoots even par in first two rounds

Braselton, Ga. (Oct. 5, 2015) – The ETSU women’s golf finished the first day at the Fall Invitational by shooting even with several powerhouse teams on Monday. Freshman Hee Ying Loy (Tama Sri Kulai Baru, Kulajaya, Malaysia) led the way for the Bucs as she shot a 73 in the first round and a 69 in the second round, which is the best two rounds by any Buccaneer this season.

Bucs are focused on Lady Paladin tournament

The three-day tournament will start on September 20 and run to September 22. The tournament is hosted by Southern Conference foe Furman University who is currently ranked 32, according to GolfStat.
