JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 17, 2016) - For the past week, multiple ETSU head coaches along with ETSU athletic administrators have been traveling across Europe as part of the Global Sports Leadership program at ETSU.
ETSU coaches included women's basketball head coach Brittney Ezell, women's soccer head coach Adam Sayers , volleyball head coach Lindsey Devine and football wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Mike Rader -- who made the trek overseas for the Global Sports Leadership program.
The trip also features ETSU administrators such as Associate Athletic Director for Communications Michael White, Assistant to the Athletic Director for Special Projects Matt McGahey, Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Experience Dr. Brian Johnston, Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services Charvi Greer and Academic Coordinator Jake Allen.
The trip started with a flight across the ocean to Munich, Germany before heading to Augsburg, Germany to watch a soccer match between FC Augsburg and Hamburg SV. Members of the trip were treated to a tour of Olympic Village in Munich as well as visiting the German Paralympic Committee.
The Global Sports Leadership program is focused on developing the next generation of leaders and visionaries in the highly competitive world of academic and professional sports. The program is designed to deliver a global perspective of best practices from highly successful sports executives and dynamic academic faculty.
