Johnson City, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2003) -- Looking back on her team's performance this fall, ETSU head softball coach Amy Fuller claimed she was happy with what she saw on the field, and also knows what the Buccaneers need to do better in order to improve by spring.
"We won a total of 11 games this fall, so I was extremely pleased overall," said Fuller. "We used this fall to find out what the strengths of this team were, but we also wanted to find out what we needed to work on over the winter."
With a solid core of 12 returning players from last year's team that finished with a 28-26 record, ETSU won fall tournaments at Milligan and UNC Charlotte, including a runner-up finish at the ETSU Fall Round Robin tournament last weekend.
The Buccaneers are scheduled to return to action on February 13, when they host Mars Hill in the team's season opener from Metro-Kiwanis Park in Johnson City.
