JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 15, 2007) - ETSU head coach Andrea Mangrum announced Friday that former ETSU standout pitcher Tiffany McVay (2001-04) will be making a special appearance at the Buccaneers' softball camp in July.
McVay, a member of ETSU's inaugural softball team in 2001, has spent the past three years as a professional pitching coach in
McVay enjoyed a spectacular Buccaneer career as she currently holds school records in wins (47), appearances (123), starts (96), complete games (72), shutouts (13), strikeouts (316), and innings (660.2). She was also a two-time Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week winner and a three-time ETSU MVP. She made the all-tournament team at the 2003 Western Kentucky Tournament, as well as the all-tourney team at the 2003 SoCon Tournament.
Below are the details for the July camp:
Pitching/Catching/Hitting July 17-18th
Metro Kiwanis Park
10:00-3:30 each day
Ages 8-18
Pitching/ Catching sessions 10-12:00 each day
Hitting sessions 1:30-3:30 each day
Cost: Both sessions both days 60.00
One session both days 35.00
No team rate will be given at this camp because it will specialize in individual skills.
