East Tennessee State Softball Competes in Second Day of Eastern Kentucky Invitational

The East Tennessee State softball team suffered two one-run losses on Saturday in the Eastern Kentucky Invitational.

The Buccaneers (1-10) fell in the first game to Ohio University, 2-1 in eight innings. April Arnold was the tough-luck loser after allowing only one earned run in eight innings pitched. Julia Chance drove in the lone ETSU run with a single in the bottom of the sixth.

ETSU fell to Belmont 5-4 in their second game of the day. Tiffany Vandergriff received the loss after allowing two earned runs in six innings pitched. Arnold led the Buccaneers offense, going 1-1 with two RBI.

The Buccaneers play tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. against Youngstown State in the final day of the Eastern Kentucky Invitational.
