Softball Adds Three Recruits

Johnson City, Tenn. (Nov. 28, 2001) -- East Tennessee State head softball coach Stephanie DeFeo announced Wednesday the signing of three players that will join the Buccaneer program next season. Janine Sprague is an outfielder from Hillsborough, N.C. She atended Orange High School and was a member of the North Carolina Flames team in the summer. Jessica Lansinger is a catcher/first baseman from Woodbridge, Va. She attended Hylton High School and played for the Fairfax Flash summer team. The Bucs signed another member of the Fairfax Flash, pitcher Julia McChain. McChain is from Dale City, Va., where she attended Gar-Field High School. ETSU opens their season on Feb. 16-17 at the University of South Carolina Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
