JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 15, 2007) - ETSU head coach Andrea Mangrum announced Friday that former ETSU standout pitcher Tiffany McVay (2001-04) will be making a special appearance at the Buccaneers' softball camp in July.

McVay, a member of ETSU's inaugural softball team in 2001, has spent the past three years as a professional pitching coach in Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. She recently finished her first season as the pitching coach at Virginia Tech. In her first season with the Hokies, McVay had the privilege coaching All-American Angela Tincher. Tincher finished the 2007 season with 38 wins, a 0.56 ERA, and 617 strikeouts, which were all Virginia Tech records.

McVay enjoyed a spectacular Buccaneer career as she currently holds school records in wins (47), appearances (123), starts (96), complete games (72), shutouts (13), strikeouts (316), and innings (660.2). She was also a two-time Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week winner and a three-time ETSU MVP. She made the all-tournament team at the 2003 Western Kentucky Tournament, as well as the all-tourney team at the 2003 SoCon Tournament.
