GETTING UP TO SPEED
The Buccaneers (10-11, 1-5) are in the midst of their roughest stretch of the season, having lost four consecutive contests, including a 1-0 loss to Florida Gulf Coast and an extra-inning loss to Mercer.
Most recently, ETSU lost a trio of games at Florida Gulf Coast.
In Sunday's 1-0 loss to the Eagles, senior pitcher Katie Wolff (La Grange, Texas) tossed her fourth complete game of the season, allowing just one run; however, ETSU's offense failed to provide Wolff with any run support.
Senior catcher Jackie Baird (Ooltewah, Tenn.) stands tied with Stephanie Gaynord (2004-07) for ETSU's single-season home run record of 11. Baird, who currently leads the nation in home runs, is just one homer shy of matching Gaynord's program record of 25 career long balls.
WESTERN CAROLINA - Cullowhee, N.C. - Southern Conference
The Catamounts (11-15, 2-1) will enter Wednesday's double-header having won seven of their last 10 contests.
Western Carolina is fresh off a series win versus Elon in which the Catamounts took two of three games.
