SAVANNAH, Ga. (Feb. 27, 2015) - After a nearly two-week, weather-induced hiatus, the ETSU softball team will be back in action this weekend as the Buccaneers travel to Savannah, Ga., to take on Morehead State and University of Maryland-Baltimore County in non-conference play. This comes as a result of ETSU's Holiday Inn Classic being cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Buccaneers (5-5) have won five of their last six contests, averaging more than seven runs per game during that span.

The weekend's contests will be played at the Allen E. Paulson Softball Complex in Savannah. For more information on the venue, including directions, click here.

Junior outfielder Jennine Ducan (Jonesborough, Tenn.) leads ETSU with 12 hits and nine stolen bases. Taylor Carter (Brazil, Ind.) and Nicole Fox (Peachtree City, Ga.) have each recorded 11 hits this season.

Over the last 14 innings that Carter has worked from the mound, the Brazil, Ind., native has allowed just two earned runs while striking out 13 batters.

Following ETSU's strong showing during the week of Feb. 9, senior shortstop Latosha Rectenwald (Whitesburg, Tenn.) was named College Sports Madness SoCon Player of the Week. Rectenwald is batting .297 with two home runs and seven RBI.

OPPONENTS AT A GLANCE
