2003 Season: Started in 50 games last season and played in 53 … finished with a .260 batting average with three home runs, seven doubles and 18 RBIs … garnered at least two hits in a game nine times last season, including a pair of three-hit performances – going 3-for-3 versus Eastern Illinois and 3-for-4 in the team’s first meeting with Winthrop … led the Bucs with 338 putouts as the team’s starting first baseman … tallied a .983 fielding percentage in 2003, a few decimal points lower than her career fielding pct. of .985, making her one of the best defensive players in program history ... 2002 Season: Byerly played in 46 games at first base, starting 39 … finished the season tied for third on the team with a .268 batting average … had 30 hits, including six doubles, two triples and one home run … had a .384 slugging percentage and a .320 on-base percentage … was almost flawless defensively, leading the team with a .996 fielding percentage after making just one error in 233 chances ... 2001 Season: Byerly finished fourth on the Bucs with a .273 batting average ... tied for the team lead with two triples ... was fourth on the team with nine doubles and 49 total bases ... played sparkling defense, leading the team with a .979 fielding percentage ...
