Alma Mater:
MBA ETSU 2002, B.S. ETSU 2001
Hometown:
Laceyville, Pa.

Jason Farr enters his seventh year on the Buccaneer coaching staff and his fifth season as a volunteer coach. Farr oversees the development of the Buccaneer vertical jumpers. In his seven years Farr has coached 37 all-conference athletes, 13 conference champions, four NCAA regional qualifiers and one NCAA national qualifier.

Last season, Farr coached Anna Marie Ricciardi to her third straight conference title (fourth total), as she claimed the indoor high jump crown. Farr also saw the high jump star smash a 27-year-old school mark, with her NCAA Provisional leap of 5-10 (1.78m) at the Carolina Invitational. In addition, Ricciardi also posted her second straight trip to the NCAA Mid-East Regional in May. On the men’s side, Mike Wright placed second and third in the high jump at the indoor and outdoor A-Sun Championships.

In 2006, he coached Shane Estes and Mike Wright to the top two spots in the men’s high jump and Anna Marie Ricciardi to the top spot in the women’s high jump at both the indoor and outdoor Atlantic Sun Conference Championships.

Prior to joining the Buccaneer coaching staff, Farr was a SoCon Champion and recorded the ETSU school record in the high jump, both indoor and outdoor. As a freshman he helped guide his men’s team to a SoCon team championship and placed third in the high jump, indoor and outdoor. In his sophomore season he broke ETSU indoor and outdoor school records, and won the SoCon Outdoor Championship. Farr was hampered by an injury his junior year, but returned to win both indoor and outdoor SoCon titles during his senior campaign in 2001. His career-best jump is 7’ 1” set in 1999.

Farr earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from East Tennessee State.
